I need to upgrade my craftsman band saw and noticed the Rikon 14" Deluxe saw at woodcraft. It has a 13" re saw capacity, not that I will ever need to resaw something that large, just the 6 1/64" pieces that won't fit my present saw. It seems like a decent saw with a pretty good price. Has anyone had any experience with Rikon products?

I bought one but haven't had much chance to use it yet. Seems to be well made. I did have a problem with the top being not flat enough. I contacted Rikon and they immediately said they'd send a new one. No argument, no hassle. Took a few weeks to get here, but this one is flat :-).
The biggest problem you're going to have is availability. I work part time at Woddcraft and I can tell you we can't get them in fast enough. Apparently that article about the saw in Popular Woodworking drove the demand way past what Rikon had expected. But they're ramping up production as fast as is practical.
