Sugarberry

Has anyone turned any "sugarberry?" I have a source, but don't know if it is worth going after. Got some mulberry donated, looks like it is going to be fun to turn - good grain and nice color. Was hoping the sugarberry might be a similar find.

I think that sugarberry is the same as or a close cousin of hackberry. Wood is pretty bland but if it's fresh and you can set some aside and induce spalting, you'll like it
