Knitting detectives

I have also read a book about a Lauta Musician, sent from England to Play in Norvegia or Sweden [ sorry forgot] and the queen who likes to knit , but since it is considered dangerous for women , takes a boat to an Island in the middle of as lake so that she can kn it in peace ,,,,, mirjam

Alas we rarely see this kind of books here ,, i keep telling the shop keepers that if they encounter such a book TO PHONE ME !!!! mirjam

What I'd love to read, and I don't even know if this exists, is a book about a knitting detective that actually has a knitting pattern or two in it. There are novels with recipes in them, why not patterns?

Monica had an xst pattern in every book , another Detective , with Quilkter had descriptions of quilts ,,, but a knitting pattern in such a book i can`t remember ,,, mirjam

Maggie Sefton's knitting mysteries have a pattern in them but they are very simple patterns. Her writing isn't all that great either. If you're interested, look for a library copy rather than buying any.

Simple seems to be all I can handle right now. I need to get back into knitting. My brain has forgotten how to think in stitches and patterns.
