Noreen, you have done so well and I know it is difficult to stay off them. You keep up the good work, it is worth it.

I gave up 7 years ago after smoking for 42 years. It was difficult in the beginning but now I find that I don't wheeze when walking up hills, I don't smell like an old ashtray and I don't waste half my pension on buying the weed.

Well done! Bernadette

My DDIL just started back up again. She quit the day she found out she was pregnant with Baby B, who is now 7 months old. It helped remind me what an accomplishment it is to quit. You go Girl!

BB,

I was a smoker (heavy) for years but quit before I met DH. After I had #1, I had the worst desire to pick it back up again. Very stressful time in my life. I bummed a few from my mom, and then decided I couldn't do that to my kids, so I turned to Nicorette. It really helped me a lot. I now have no desire to smoke at all. I hope you DDIL can find some kind of healthier alternative.

Hugs,

Hesira

I saw how hard she fought going back to it. I say her family adds way more stress to her than anyone should have to deal with, plus they are all smokers, so they would not support her quitting at all. I'm hoping she will be able to quit again if other things ease up for her.

Good for you for quitting! I'm sure you're aware of all of the benefits :) I quit almost 30 years ago, for my future kids.
