I just posted photos of a couple of finished objects.
This is an aran sweater I finished recently, it's from the only book (The best of Knitters Arans and Celtics) which I've ever made more than one thing from!

Hi VP, There aren't any cuffs at all, but the fit is pretty good because the vertical patterning draws in a bit. I was relieved to have got the sleeve length just right, so that I don't miss having cuffs.

those are both lovely. I particularly like the colours you have used for the crochet jacket.

Beautiful work, Sue!

I second that! Love those colours.

Thanks, it is a nice book IMHO and there is another pattern in there which I'm very tempted to start.
Thanks Bernadette,
I never counted how many different yarns I used, some were two different strands to make the thickness. It was a major relief once the ends were finished off!
Thanks Shelagh!
Thanks Gemini, it's great to hear from you again!
Sue, it's Lovely!
I also have a question about your red sweater, picture #1 I think: how is the neckline made there? (I'm somewhere between beginner and intermediate knitter and have a lot to learn)
Thank you,
Yulia
Great to be back too! ;o)
*hugs* GeminiThanks! I had to go and check that sweater - the neck shaping is fairly standard stuff. The neckband is done by picking up and knitting around the neck opening, then (in the round), purl 2 rounds, K1 P1 rib for 5 rounds, purl for 1 round, K1 P1 rib for 3 rounds, cast off in rib.
