Received July 6 x 6 AND threads

Please note that "last is not least" here... no order of importance.

I received 3 amazing squares of Tunisian Crochet (about which I have been reading here, but had no idea what it looked like). They are beautiful... tight-stitched and thick. All of them are gorgeous on both front and back. One is blue/white multi with ridges of raised stitches. A naturally dyed teal looking one of a nice texture, and a navy blue one with more defined texture. And thank you Christine, also, for a light blue tatted bookmark and a card with a photo of Christine's town center... very parklike with buildings (a church?) of ancient charactor.

And Mirjam sent me some interesting threads. A "squiggly" one of blues, a turquoise that had a flat, woven thread, two multis and a lilac. She included 4 postcards of her wonderful art work. Very beautiful and delicate. I could see a LOT of work (thought and time and talent) in them. And a little bag of beads and buttons, some of very unusual design.

Thanks very much, Christine and Mirjam. Kira

I'm glad you got the squares Kira, and that you liked them. They're a really good excuse to try out different stitch patterns. I'm glad too that you liked the bookmark, the tatting is fun to do too, and very easily portable so it's good for trains, buses and waiting in queues etc. It's also great for air travel, specially if using an all plastic shuttle. I've even learned how to put mistakes right to a certain extent at least. And yes it's a picture of our village Parish church, some bits of which are almost 1,000 years old, although the more obvious bits are about 400 - 500 years old. It's really beautiful inside too, and you can feel the centuries of prayer that have been offered in the building. It's really special. Once again I'm glad the squares didn't take too long to arrive, it's been a pleasure to be your partner Love Christine
