Except thank you, thank you, thank you. I went to the mail today, and there was a box for me from Nora. "What is this?" I asked myself, knowing that she was not my 6x6 partner. She had warned me through e-mail that I should be on the look-out for a parcel from her, but I had no idea what would be in it. The most wonderful notes from my friends here, which I will cherish forever. Beautiful bags, which will be used almost immediately, as I have several WIPs hanging around in plastic grocery bags. A huge mug which will definitely come in handy. A tape, which I will take with me to listen to in the car later today. Coffee (decaf, at that, which is what I drink!). A cosy scarf in a soft blue, pink, and green yarn. Two crosses - one a key chain, crocheted, I think. A perpetual calendar of Biblical quotes which is already set up on my computer desk. A finely worked doily, which will look lovely under a candle or, indeed, on its own so that everyone can see it. A dishcloth with something written on it. (Yes, Janise, I need translation, please!) Keith watched me open each gift, and was totally amazed by the whole thing. I have told him about you all, but I don't think that he really believed me until today. You are a wonderful group of friends, and I will cherish you forever.
Love and higs,
Katherine
