Hello Beady Buddies, I have just listed an amazing necklace made out of freeform tourmaline chunks. Of course, scans can't ever seem to capture the beauty and dazzle of tourmaline, but these come close! Gorgeous Gemmy Tourmaline Dream Chunk Necklace#124

We do have more of these Vintage Alexandrite Swirl pendants, if you'd like something similar, I'll get Jim to dude you some up. Not sure how many of the other beads in this kit (if any) are left though. Update on mom, well she went to church TWICE Sunday! I don't know if she's walked around the block yet, but she did participate in a family yardsale Saturday. She said they didn't sell much, but they had lots of fun. I'm still in awe at her speedy recovery! Keep in mind she had surgery Wed Sept 14th, and came home Mon Sept 19th!! And Jim got some good news too, he MIGHT be done with chemo next month! Of course, they said he'd have to have "tune-ups" every so often, but not the heavy duty stuff he's been on lately. THANKS AGAIN to so many of you who've shared your thoughts and prayers with us. I've kept every email and post and hope to be able to respond individually when things calm down around here. Update on the Katrina Auction: The preliminary total for the Katrina Jewelry auction I previously told you all about is $11,390.50!!!! Is that awesome or what? Around 300 joolcrafters participated, and this is what one of the organizers, Kari Bryde had to say:

"I also wanted to share something. I held a little ?Repurposing Seminar? yesterday for a group of ladies and one lady present was now living with her sister because she lost everything in New Orleans. I didn't know that until I made an announcement before I began my presentation about the auction and the lady started to cry. She asked me to thank all of you - she couldn't believe how many people so removed from the disaster stilled cared so much to do something to help. She said we gave her hope. Thank you to everyone - it's good to remember this "help" we have done touches individual people who are hurting. Thank you to everyone involved with this.... you have done an incredible thing."

As I said before, I didn't get to participate due to dealing with family issues, I don't know if there will be another auction, but if there is, I'll let you know. If you'd like to join this yahoo group, click here:
