Best source for...?

Hi peeps,

Halfway though a necklace the other day I ran out of 6mm Bali-style daisy spacers. Where's the best place for these spacers? I'll be buying a reasonable amount, I love using them. I've looked on the Links List but there's no way of telling who sells them and who doesn't, and I didn't have much luck. No need for actual Bali, just need that style. Where's best (/cheapest, and doesn't charge a fortune to ship to the UK)?

TIA.

We also have price breaks at 500 & 1000 pieces on spacer beads. We offer many shipping options to the UK. Airmail or Flat Rate Global Priority would be the best for something of this weight.

I never pay more than 35 a gram for silver, and .50 agram for Bali. However, after what MJ said, I would imagine these are going to go up. And, I'm not in Ohio anymore. Everything out here is more expensive.

Which would be roughly how much for say, 500 or 1000 of the 6mm daisies?

Silver closed at over $8.15/oz. today, which is the highest cloing price since 1988. I expect that the gram price is going to shoot way up, and take a very long time to head back to the price we were all used to.

Kinda like gasoline - the prices shoot up overnight, but don't seem to drop very quickly at all.

Yeah, I just made an order from the place I usually get my stuff. I ordered sterling chain and a pendant. A notice came up on the screen that the prices were different than what was in the catalog because of the silver.

Roxan -- There were about 10 sellers at the last International Gem and Jewelry Show I attended in columbus, all selling cast silver beads for .35. Very high quality, good looking stuff.

The price breaks vary depending on the item, but the 6mm spacer bead goes down to .10 cents each at 500 pieces. There is no combining for the bulk discount. =o)

Your best bet would be the Flat rate Global Priority envelope for $5. The weight goes up to 4lbs, but we would not be able to fit that many beads in that size envelope. It takes approximately 4 to 6 days for arrival. Air Mail for 500 pieces would be $4.80 (see the Post Office just begs you to use the Global Priority...lol) and for 1000 pieces it would be $7.55. 4 to 7 days arrival. Or you could do surface mail (not reliable in my opinion) 4 to 6 weeks for $3.80

If you are interested in these beads, email Barb at Beki at whimbeads.com She can quote you other prices too.
