Can u explain to me how u open rar files in agent newsreader and also yEnc please i have read the manuals but i seem to miss something Richard(wacker)uk

Sorry, I don't use Agent, I just use the freebie from Microsoft. Rar files are a compressed format, so may or may not be decipherable with the newsreader. I tend to ignore rar files when I see them on a website. I don't frequent binary news groups, so I seldom see them in news.

You need winrar to open rar files files in agent if you must open from within agent you then click the rar file , agent will ask you if you wish to launch the file.click yes and winrar will open.
