Dave !!!

I'm assuming he made it home ok, but didn't get a chance to pop in. Poor guy!

I was at the allergist getting allergy tests done (fun!) when Dave called. I called him back, and we had a nice chat. It's been so long since I talked to him! He couldn't stop, since he had to get home and get ready to leave Thursday night. But it was good to talk to him again.

Dave is suppose to be coming through OH tomorrow (9/23). He will be spending the day with Ronni. It's my DS turned 8 today. His birthday party is tomorrow afternoon with family and close friends meeting for pizza after. Add gymnastics in the morning and I've got a full day scheduled. It is going to depend on when Dave arrives and what stores Ronni takes him too if we can meet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can connect with Ronni & Dave even for a few minutes.

The poor guy must be exhausted. I thought he would have come through OH after NY on his way home. Apparently not.

I typically don't read/post to the group on weekends, but I'll try to make an effort after I get the birthday boy in bed to jump on and let you know if I see him.

DAve called me tonight. he just got to louiville kentucky I think he said. Storms everywhere and it was pouring down there. He said he tried to call Ronni but no answer and didn't have your number Amy. Please email your number to me and i can get it to him or if you know his then call him. kk?

I just got back from the birthday boy's party and have 5 minutes before we head out again for dinner. Ronni and Dave stopped into the laser web place for about 20 minutes and we got to visit while the kids were playing. I wished I could have spent more time, but with the birthday party, I was not able to help take Dave back to his truck and Ronni has an obligation at church so they couldn't stay.

Ronni showed me a picture of Dave at the LSS near Ronni. The sales lady had to get Dave a box because he bought so much that a bag just wouldn't hold it all. The picture showed a receipt that looked to be a yard long!

I asked Dave how many RCSers he has "hit" on this trip....both Theresa's, Kate, Dorothy, Ronni, and me, plus calls to Kenda, Cowchipper & M-C. That is quite an RCS meet road trip!! LOL!

Dave, when you get back home and read this...thank you SOOO much for stopping by my son's birthday party. Next time we'll try for dinner. Ronni -- Thank you too!

Need to get back to the family...see you all on Monday.

I sure hope Amy is reading the newsgroup as Dave called me too looking for Amy's number.

We had a wonderful chat as he sat in his truck while it was raining. It was getting hot and muggy in the truck and he tried to crack the truck window. I heard a "GARSH!" and a "FIDDLESTICKS!" and he told me he had to roll the window back up as it was raining in the window on him. Poor guy. By the end of the call it had stopped raining and he was able to stand outside and finish the call.

It was good to talk with him. I wish they'd finish the construction between I-30 and Burns Park, I worry about him going through there.

Oh my, I sure hope he didn't have any problems with the storms.

What, that still isn't finished? They were working on that small stretch of road when I got there in 2004. Are they at least looking like they are finally getting it almost done?

I-40 east bound is nearly complete. Between Crystal Hill Road and near Levy is now open to 3 lane. and they have redone the area East from the JFK off ramp to the 30-40 split. It will take them another 3 or 4 years to complete! LOL

You act like you don't have faith in our state highway department, Kenda. Now why not? LOL

Uuuummmm....might be because between the Protho exit/on ramps and I-430 has been under construction in some form or another since we moved here the first time which was in 1973!!!! And now 67/167 will be under construction until AT LEAST 2008, that's assuming they don't get behind. And when the projects for NLR and Sherwood are done they will begin for the stretch between Sherwood and the LRAFB ext. Will it ever end?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I doubt it. It takes them so long to get things done that by the time they finish it is time to start over again!
