Singer CE 200 and CE100

Has anyone here used a singer CE100 or CE200? I'm going to be getting my first embroidery machine and my initial thoughts are getting a CE200. Looking to spend only around £600.

I did. When it worked it was ok. Getting it repaired is a nightmare. In for warranty work 4 times since the 20th of January 2006. Singer had it longer than I did!!! I am sitting here with the machine in the box trying to get the issue resovled for the fifth time. Customer service was not good. I am now shopping for a new one and you can bet it won't be a Singer. I may have got a lemon but I am now stuck with a useless purchase until I persue a resolve through legal channels. If you want more info you can email me snipped-for-privacy@tbaytel.net. Donna

Thanks everyone for their replies, I took into account the problems that some people are having with the CE200 and how hard it can be to get Singer to repair in a timely manner, but I also took in to account how much others are enjoying the CE200, so I done a lot of phoning around to find a purchase option that would mean no hassles if the machine was faulty, I purchased one from an Edinburgh based company that arrange collection, repair and return free of charge within one week if there are any problems, they also offer two hours free training. The machine arrived today, I was amazed at the size of the box :-) I have not had a chance to try it out yet but I am looking forward to giving it a go. So as soon as I have cleaned out my rats cage and given them a bit of time I will be trying it out :-)

Good luck! I hope you enjoy it. It really is an amazingly versatile machine for the price.
