non-slip soles

I'm crocheting some slippers that I'm going to felt, and I'd like to make the soles non-slip. I read on some boards that puffy paint will do the job. Has anyone done that, and did it work?

thanks, Sue

I used some stuff called Shoe Goo, worked and is washable, came in a tube. It gives the same effect as the socks you can buy with white patterns on the soles for non-slip. I bought the tube in a hardware store.

You can also find Shoe Goo at stores that specialize in running shoes. My DH used to use this to get extra miles out of his running shoes. Back when he ran every day...

You might even be able to find it in Wal-Mart. I seem to recall seeing it there.

DUH! I forgot all about Shoo Goo. That would be perfect! (Though possibly not as pretty as puff paint)
