OT - the continuing adventures of spoiled pets

So, just a brief experience in wonderment to share. It's finally a gorgeous day out, we get home from the day's errands, and go sit out back with some nice iced coffees, throwing the floppy frisbee for Puckster, the spoiled one. He periodically runs under the deck, comes back up, etc. Lovely day. DH & I are discussing the where to put stuff, next garden phase, etc. Suddenly the dog jumps up onto my lap - surprise - 65# package. I'm laughing, not particularly paying attention, looking around the yard, and DH says "HEY- What are you doing????" Puckster has done a lizard tongue thing

- right into my large, pub glass of iced coffee. And is happily slurping away. He drink about 8 oz of it - including the drippage on the deck. What's not to like - milk, a liitle sugar, and caffeine - just what every hyper kid needs!

Anyhow - it was funny, and not enough caffeeine to bother him, just really funny. He must've been thirsty - we haven't hooked up his auto-waterer outside bowl yet. Oh, well.

Now, off to get cleaned up for our night of Shakespeare.

Giggling! silly doggie!

So - do you need more daylilies?

Went down to see if I can start cleaning up all the branches that came down in the last storm. Nope - still have standing water and I want to let that dry up first. DS wants to use the tractor. NO WAY JOSE. Drag'em back under the trees they came from and wonder if the blueberries will have a bumper crop this spring.

Exactly- it's a constant state of wonderment for us....and he looks so proud of himself when he does these things - complete with doggie grin, and waggling his very expressive eyebrows (the big emotional indicator on him, besides the constantly going now-we-know-why-it's-docked tail).

More? More? I never got any for this house - we're supposed to talk about that....remember.....squishies for you.....amd ..... In a word YES! I'll take some pix of the front and back, and you can give advice. Or just do as you will. I definitely could use some day liliies - and resisted buying some bulbs/corns whatever they are - recently.

What fun. We're just going to start the spring clean-up today - I think I can make some good progress. We're thrilled that the Macoun Apple tree wintered over in its container, and is coming into bud, so we have to site that and get it in the ground. I need to do a "quick" trip to the nursery - but then we should be good.

Didn't get back from Coriolanus, and late dinner, til 1, so DH isn't moving, yet.....Great production. The whole set was a kind of marbled red - very claylike, or bloody, Great staging. The lead guy had an awesome voice - ite was mesmerizing, and he carried so much of the feeling through with it, very varied. Worth his standing ovation (though, true to tourist season, there were people jumping out of their seats as the lights went up. Oh, well, really a good job by the RSC.

Oh - that's right, you didn't think you were ready last fall. Not to worry, lots more room to work with now.

There is no such thing as a quick trip to the garden center.

Interesting, I just read a short story about Coriolanus... Strange how the world works.
