Now that both Neffi and Tut are done, I'm going to get them both framed. Although tut's fabric is 'antique' linen, that's a slightly more yellow color, I'm thinking of a black matting. It will be a while to save up for though, but will be spectacular.

It will be so VERY wonderful. I can picture it, and wonder what you will do to give some of the history of this awesome project. Maybe something on the back of the framing??? Years from now, this should be recognized for the artistic work it portrays.....and not stuck in the back of a cupboard! I have sometimes thought that a major project needs something underneath the paper backing we get from the framers. Eons ahead, someone will find this and be awed.

I envy you your patience, and expertise!!! This an heirloom, well worthy of it's place in family history, generations from now.. I can say this because I am now "elderly" spit, hate the term.

Congrats

Gillian the (crone/hag/elder) whatever.

She is lovely Amber, that's an enormous amount of work ! Following on Gillians thinking - you could place something on the back. My aunt did a lovely Scottish thistle for my 60th birthday and had it beautifully framed, I keep it in my bedroom where I always see it when my eyes open. On the back she put an envelope with a little ditty as to why she picked a thistle and which birthday she was working it to celebrate etc. The whole thing means an incredible amount to me and long after I am gone, if it winds up in a yard sale, someone can always see it's history.

You should definitely do something similar, stating all the hours you put in on it etc.
