Happy dance :)

Right before DH and I left on our cruise, I finished a quilt I'd been working on. I used 100-wt. silk thread for most of the quilting, and I really like this stuff! It melts right into the fabric for a subtle effect. I also used some metallic thread to quilt over the metallic accents in the fabric.

Have I mentioned lately that I love Lemoyne stars and feathered stars based on the Lemoyne star?

You can see the quilt and a detail of the quilting at , if you like.

Absolutely beautiful, Sandy! Lovely colors, and a great kaleidescope effect. Those stars just pop right out of the navy background.

Thanks, Ragmop! The cruise was very good, except for the first two days of rough seas. Fortunately, we didn't have any ports for those days, so the weather didn't ruin anything else. Can you picture a couple of thousand people walking around looking as though they're drunk? Keeping one's footing in such conditions is a challenge! We did some sightseeing around New Orleans before and after the cruise; the devastation from Katrina really hit home.

Oh my!!!!! I love feathered stars. Yours is just something else!

That dark blue is magnificent. It reminds me of Prussian Blue, my favorite color in the crayon box back there in the 50's.
