Big happy dance for me!

This weekend I COMPLETED my first quilt. It's not the first quilt I started, just the first one DONE. It's my 4-patch lap quilt and it nigh on to perfect! I had one OOOOOPS which I fixed and then covered with my quilt label :) Fortunately it was at a corner where the first border starts. I quilted diagonaly across the sgs in both directions so that there is an "X" in each square. I used the back of the quilt to fold over to the front for binding. And then I made a pillow case in two of the same fabrics to store it in when not in use :) My camera is almost to the end of the roll so will post pictures after they are developed.

I love hearing about everyone's progress and delight when people finish quilts and projects (mostly quietly). But I get really jazzed over First Finishes :) Congratulations!

I'll definately peek when you post those pics. Let us know what is next on your "finish" list.

The next one I will finish will be the My Stars and Bars as it is one size up (twin) but in 2 halfs which I will quilt each half separatly. Then on to my Chaos Harmony (queen) also in 2 halves. Then the Sampler Quilt (queen) all in ONE piece. Still have my Blues Roses (queen) only half quilted but too hot to work on it right now. Need to redo my quilting on the 3D fan or cut edges off and bind 'cause not satisfied with it now after my near perfect 4-patch :)

Thanks from them! They had a great day - lots of presents, chocolate cupcakes with pink and purple icing, Dragontales paper plates. In the morning, I asked how old they were, and they answered "two and a half". It took some convincing, but they did finally get that they were now 3. In fact, by dinner, when asked how old they were, Spike said in all seriousness, "three and a half!" My, how they age fast!

Thanks for all the kind words. I will let you know when pics are posted. I am currently un-stitching the quilting in my 3-D fan quilt for a do-over. After my near-perfect 4-patch I am not satisfied with the quilting job I did on it. Fortunately the quilting in only done around every 4 squares as I was going to tie the centers where the fan come together in yarn matching that fan.
