Merry Christmas... What did you recieve

Roberta,

I don't get a whole lot read either. My family has been keeping me pretty busy the last couple of years. I did join another group also that I don't get to read much of or participate in. I guess I just need to pick one group and stay with it. You are welcome. That was my first swap and it was so much fun! Cheers, Mary in AZ

Fountain Hills, AZ but we met in Mesa? Tempe? it's been within the last 2 years. It was a smallish LQS.had a cement bench outside and I had to leave when it got windy. Mr Joe sat in the Yukon whilst we chatted.

I am 'known' as Butterfly (Wings HAD to be added when I got a new compie and had to 're-register' They still had Butterfly being used. RATS!)

Butterfly (I met a Mary shortly after we moved here 2.5 years ago, but I've slept since then, and I confess to NOT remembering her last name)

Thanks. I'd remember the 'Helen' as that was what my Dad called DD instead of her real name.

Butterfly (ok, now we WILL have to have a meet-up. When's the next Quilt show in Phoenix area?)

Well, the "big" show is in March, but it is going to be in Mesa this year (instead of ASU West). I have a couple of classes scheduled at the shop in Sun City on Sat. so I will not be attending the show then. Not sure if I will be able to go on Fri or not. Don't think I will have anything in the show this year. Things are just too crazy at the moment to try to get stuff ready. sigh.

Would love to have a meet up anytime.

Mary, I live in the western part of Phoenix, almost to the Glendale city limits. Near 35th Ave and Glendale. Let me know whereabouts you are living in Arizona...

Hi Mary Helen -- FYI, B'fly lives in Fountain Hills, Pati lives on the West side and I have a cabin up in Heber/Overgaard where I try to spend some time during the summer. I don't know about shows in the valley -- Pati is the one who would be able to tell you all bout that. There are quilt shows off and on all during the summer up in the White Mountains from Payson all the way up to Pinetop/Lakeside. The quilt group I belong to in H/O always has a show over the Labor Day weekend and I hope to be there for it again this year. Which area of Chandler do you live in? DH's uncle & wife live in Mesa or Chandler in one of the gated retirement communities -- I just can't remember which one or exactly where it is! HMMM, maybe it's more toward the Mesa area -- last time we were there, I think we had to drive past Mesa CC. I lived in Ahwatukee for 9 years before moving here to Magnoliaville (AKA North Atlanta area) and before that I lived in Scottsdale for 26 years. LOLOL -- I know my way around the Valley, that's for sure :-). CiaoMeow >^;;^<

It just dawned on me what the QI stood for! There are three in my house. Max who is 13 yrs old and Samantha who is almost 3 years old. These are my cats. Then we have Kelly who I call Kelly Belly 'cause he weighs 20 lbs. He is my 16 year old daughters cat. She got him for her sixth birthday.

Cheers, Mary Helen in Arizona
