need patchwork tote pattern

DD1 is getting to start ballet lessons as her activity for the school year... i told her since they were expensive that was all she was getting from Mum and Dad for her birthday! She pouted but understood....

however... as a little surprise to her i'd like to make a patchwork, drawstring tote for her to carry her dance stuff. Not too big (she's turning 8 in Sept) but big enough for her shoes, a change of clothes, maybe a brush and some hair things....

I figure it should be easy to make a reversable one... but would like to at least glance at a pattern before starting! I have some neat fabrics in my/her stash, one even has a border on it that i could use at the base if i decide to.

does anyone have links to free or low cost drawstring tote patterns that they know have decent instructions? I'd like this to cost as little as possible! In the meantime, i'll keep searching the web, I know i saw some a year or so ago with an oval/round, flat bottom.... but i thought if anyone had made one and knew the directions were decent, i'd go with that!

thanks! Kellie like i need more projects!

There is a book called Four Hour Quilted Gift Bags that has all sorts of different tote bags, and if I remember right there is one in there with a ballet theme.
