New pics up...

Finally -- a pic of Lauren's DWR. Although it is hanging over the stair railing

-- so you only see half of it. It is now in Minnesota at the long arm quilter. I can't wait to see what she does with it -- I am always amazed at her work!

I also included Phase 1 pics of my sewing room. These weekend we revamp the closet and assemble the new table for my new Pfaff 7570 so I can start sewing on it! I'm eager to try my hand at embroidery! I still have way too much overflow hanging out in the guest room that I need to move back into the sewing room... so soon we'll have that done!

My Purple BOM (EQ design in webshots) is almost complete. Need to finish adding the borders to it...then that top is done! WOOHOO! I'll really be happy dancing.

Did a little on the Twisted Bargello yesterday -- but today was all about the purple!

Love the Wedding Ring Quilt and the colors. Some day I will try one, when I am better at sewing curves. They are still the bane of my existence. The window you have to look out when sewing is absolutely wondering. Green with envy.

Kate, trying to email you but it keeps getting returned. Did you ever live in Williamsburg, MI.

Beautiful DWR, Kate! You will post pics when you get it back from the quilter, won't you?

Your sewing room is wonderful. Love that window - and you have everything so organized!

The DWR is gorgeous!! I am working on one now but very slowly!! LOL Your Autumn Splendor is beautiful, too!! And your sewing room is to die for--Is the shelving attached to the wall? You look so organized--maybe you'll be my inspiration to get my "stuff" organized.

The shelving is Closet Main units from Home Depot. For stability -- DH did anchor them to the walls tho.

The Autumn Splendor is a Thimbleberries pattern... made with Thimbleberries fabrics... but is perfect for this time of year.!

Thanks for the kind words...

Howdy!

Dear Madam, Thank you for the pictures of your quilt/sewing shop. We are especially interested in the fabric on p. 6, bin 6: Greens. Will be filling out order form when available. Thank you.

I wish my fabric were that organized. When it comes to fabric organization... I'm at a loss. A good number of my mini-tubs are "finished" quilts... the leftovers. I've kept them that way because I know what fabric I used in what quilt (kind of -- for the most part) and so I know where to look for it. I don't have a lot of large yardages.. mostly FQs and remnants. Hopefully when DH gets my shelves finished... I'll be able to tackle that. I still have more big totes than I have room for in the room. So I either need to break them down... or move them into the guest room or the basement (2 flights down).

That window is why I"m up there! I could have a larger space in the basement. It wouldn't be terrible. It would be well lit and I could custom design it (kind of like I did with the shelving here). But I couldn't have windows. Decided to take smaller square footage.. and keep the window!
