Well, I'm back!! We went on hols to the Massif Central in France, for 2 weeks. Volcanic landscape, absolutely beautiful. Had a great hols, but then returned home and no internet connection!!!!!! OK, long story short the adapter/transformer for our broadband box was doing a slow meltdown, so would only work when cold, so took us about 2 weeks to work out what was wrong. Anyway, I'm back.
In the meantime, DH has had his blood tested to find out if he is a match for his cousin that lives in the States, as she is going to need a bone marrow transplant very soon, as she has leukemia. She is only 40 years old, she had breast cancer just under 5 years ago which she beat, but now the cancer has returned as leukemia. At the moment no-one including children and siblings have been a match so we are hoping that at least one of the cousins are. They are also searching through the donors already registered in the USA. She has an 8 Yr old son as well, so we are all praying that a match is found very soon, whilst they try to stabilise her condition, so that she can be well enough to undergo this procedure, should a match be found.
On a lighter note I did find a fabulous fabric shop and found some lovely red/gold fabric with little hearts on to make curtains for the kitchen. OK, so I've got to finish cleaning the walls so that I can decorate and fit out the kitchen - yippee a real kitchen....OK, so the walls are orange pre-cleaning, but underneath it is cream....they're that awful, yuck!!!! Wish me luck. At the moment I find it difficult to get motivated as I've done the 2 best walls and the other 2 are worse! Unfortunately the decorating fairy did not visit when we were away, never mind.
Anyway, hope that everyone here is well and I'll try and catch up on 5 weeks of posts.......
