You might notice my sig block has changed.
My beloved Enness passed away tonight. The heat this week really took its toll and she was suffering progressive heart failure. I could not stand to think of her being distressed or in pain so we took a trip to our local vet who confirmed that there was little if anything they could do for a cat her age. Enness (aka Poddy) was 18yo. I might have been able to medicate her but it would have been only a very short term help - maybe a week or two - and she hated taking tablets at the best of times, so I gave her this last gift of peace. Such a sad decision we so often have to make for our friends, but not one I regret.
