Okay, I finally broke down and joined Facebook--and yes it IS fun, so I don't know why I waited so long. So let me know who my fellow Facebookers from RTCQ are, ladies and gentlemen. Don't be shy! ;-)

I just don't get it. I joined, I even had a farm, and I have friends and a few weeks ago, on my birthday, I got emails from all of them. I don't know how they knew, but they did.

Isn't it just like this group only with pictures? And how do I tell really great friends that I don't WANT to be in a Mafia war?? I don't want to hurt their feeling, I just want to sew. And I get emails every day from people telling me they sent me a pig. Or handcuffs.

Just what am I supposed to DO with that information?

handcuff the pigs to the guys in the mafia war. gets rid of all of them at once. seriously, just hit the "block application" for the mafia wars. hit "ignore" or post about it and tell all your contacts to please stop sending you things.. oops, i'm always sending you invites to farkle probably. its the only one i play now. the rest take too much brain power of which i've precious little left. feel free to let me know if i'm being a pita there. i sometimes forget what i'm doing both in facebook and here and just getting thru the day. j.

Okay, all you folks who are more knowledgeable than I am. Is there a way to block the automatic messages that games send out? It seems that when I go to my home page, almost everything there is somebody's latest score or accomplishment on a game. I don't want to block the person because I'd like to read the messages they actually post, but since I'd rather spend my time quilting than playing Facebook games on the computer, I really don't care that much about somebody's score or something else they did or need concerning the games. I've looked everywhere I know to see if there's a way to turn these off, but I can't find it!

By the way, I wasn't on Facebook when the directory came out but I think you can find me by searching Carole Guy Doyle.

Yes, to the right of the scores and such on your Home page, click the hide button and you have the choice of hiding either the application or the person. Just hide the application and you will not get scores or other info on the game.

Mouse over the game message. A little box that says "Hide" will show up on the right side. Click the "Hide" box. A little drop down menu will give you the option to hide the person or hide the application (game). Click on the option to hide the application and you won't see any more reports of that game.

I've long had the same complaint as CaroleD -- my reaction has been to ignore FB. Julia, I can see the "Hide" thing, but there's no drop-down menu, no matter what I do. Back to ignoring FB. :S

Just sent you a request, Jeanne. This is fun. :-)

Good idea about a way to seek out other RTCQers. Still learning all that Facebook can do.

Yikes! There are four of you! And like me, you wisely have your page blocked to the looky-loos. Any more clues?

Or you could look me up. I'm the Michelle Churchman with sunglasses.

Being a newbie myself, I can't answer your question--but it sounds like I'll definitely be interested in the answer when you get it.

And yes, I had no problems locating you. :-)
