Jennellh, my order from the Cotton Patch came today. I wanted those free Mother Goose patterns and some fabric caught my eye and a pattern or two, well, you know how it is.

To get the free patterns I had to place them in the shopping cart. They went into the cart at no charge. But I could never figure out how to access them. I emailed them later in the week to find out how to do it and never got a response.

In the order today was the Mother Goose patterns printed out and they had scratched out the $0.00 charge for them and they charged my credit card an extra $10, which was an option on the order page. If you wanted printed copies of the free patterns, the charge would be $10.

It's not the $10 I mind so much, I've spent way more on way less. It's that they were listed as free and I am fully capable of printing out PDF files. It's easy to get the size I want that way and I prefer it. I would have PAID for PDF files.

I have sent them an email complaining bitterly about this practice.

I wondered if you had taken advantage of the free patterns and how you did it.

Don't be sorry, Jen, you were just reporting a good deal and it was! It's possible the fault is mine because I wasn't smart enough to figure out how to get the designs.

Please don't think I was in any way blaming anything on you, I'd have found those patterns on my own eventually!

Ok, I just heard back from them and they are supposed to credit my account (she said she responded to my original email for help on downloading the free patterns, but I can't find it) and after a couple of back and forth emails, she said she had forgotten to take the protection off those items and you can now "right click" them to download and print out.

So if you want them, all you have to do is right click and download!

Hope this helps you.

No reply yet either - I'll give her a week to get over Thanksgiving! I went back to the website also and checked out the other store links

- "Customer Comments" isn't - it goes to the 'Country Collections pattern page' as does the 'Country Collections....' link and her Blog link does go to a blog but there is only one entry dated January

2007..... there is also an applique design pictured > I don't know, but they haven't credited my card yet...
