Wow! Kathyl, the One Block Wonder is gorgeous -- so rich looking! And I love your pineapple; the quilting really enhances it. :)
Great job! Did you free motion the machine quilting on the pineapple quilt? It's beautiful!
I'm having the same issues with regard to Webshots. I know there are several pictures in my account that I no longer have anywhere else. I was thinking that I could order prints from them, then scan them back into my computer. Any better ideas? Those commercials are definitely annoying....I used to think dancing lizards were cute; but not any more! I'm going to check to see if there's any way we can let Webshots know how many faithful users they're going to lose.
I checked their website, and as a "Free" member, I can only access their "Top 10 Questions". There is no place to contact them. Also, as a "Free" member, I can only "surf with ads". The Premium membership removes those "annoying ads" and allows questions to their Tech Support. Of course, no where do they mention what the "Premium" membership costs.
Look at the ads on the right side........ Premium costs $19.99/year.
It's easy to save a picture. Look at the full size>right click>save as.
I still get no audio ads and have no intention of moving my pictures.
A local longarm quilter did the quilting on the pineapple quilt. If you find a way to contact Webshots to let them know about the ads, let us know! They need to be bombarded with complaints. I don't mind having the static ads on the site...it looks messy, but they have to pay bills too.
Hey, thanks so much Mary. I'm so glad you told me how to do this....so I don't have to ask my husband!! :)
You're welcome.
I'd forgotten about that too! Thanks for the reminder Mary. I've just had a new "twist"......my computer speakers suddenly went really LOUD! My volume dial seems to only have off and LOUD! If I go to the volume control in my systems tray, I can adjust it there. But I usually just used the dial on my speakers to control the volume. Wierd!!
WOWSY, KJ! Your "One Block Wonder" is just that!! It has to be one of the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen...and I've seen a lot.
Just amazed!

Blushing....why, thank you Donna. I need to get serious about the layout. They were just slapped up on the design wall as I got them sewn. But first, a binding for a shower gift on Saturday. I'd better get cracking!
My computer has a jr hi girl's mentality. Every day it chooses another person to be 'not speaking' to. Today is was Kathyl and I would have missed the quilts if Donna hadn't kindly carried them forward. Thank you, Donna. Now, Kathyl. My goodness. I've never seen such beautiful blocks either. Awesome. Gorgeous. What was Donna's word? WOWSY? Yes, that's good . HooooEeeee. Wish I could come play with those on your design wall. I wouldn't be much help since I'd never be able to reach a decision but it would be big fun. Polly
Hummmmm I wonder what I did to annoy Polly's computer. I wish you could come over and play too, Polly. I think it would best be done with two people. Someone to look while the other one moves the blocks around.
Beats me, Kathyl. Next, this computer doesn't like Susan. I just never know. Polly
"KJ" Hummmmm I wonder what I did to annoy Polly's computer. I wish you could
The pineapple quilt looks magnificent; the border is just perfect.
Those 'one block wonder' blocks look really stunning. How many are there in the end? Amazing that such different elements can be derived from the same fabric. Really lovely. . In message , KJ writes
Thanks Pat. The number of blocks will vary with the length of your fabric repeat. You need to buy (for this variation) six repeats. I think I remember they preferred the repeat be at least 15" and up to 24"(I haven't looked at it recently) so you don't get many blocks that look alike. (If your fabric is under the recommended size, you should have two repeats per section.) I imagine the geometrical blocks may have been added to boost the number of blocks to a certain size quilt. I do like the extra interest they add. I'm going to experiment with several fabrics and different blocks, but I doubt if I'll be using them all.
Totally awesome! I love it!
Love the pineapple quilt too. It's so springy and fresh!
I haven't exited webshots yet either, and have no idea about retrieving your pics. Sorry.
