Added some more pictures

I finally managed to find time to add some pictures to my webshots album "Quilts 2010". I had been collecting plaids for quite a while and finally decided to use some of them. The pattern was a mystery quilt pattern that I downloaded many years ago - no idea where I found it... I pre-cut all the pieces before heading to Florida for the winter. It was fun to quilt - I became pretty good at "Hooked on Feathers" quilting by the end! Disappearing Four Patch is a simple quilt using two fabrics. I was testing the pattern before using it with my quilt group next winter. The blue fabric was leftover from a Project Linus quilt I made many years ago and this quilt will be heading to my guild's community quilts. Just For Fun was another Project Linus pattern from Quiltmaker magazine. A couple of years ago I cut lots of novelty squares and made the blocks. In an effort to tidy my quilt room, I decided to finish the quilt. Another one for community quilts. Morning Splash was a pattern from Judy Laquidara's blog. The instructions were given in small bits - enough for an hour or two of work. I loved the colours she used, so made mine in the same colours. Play Date Sampler 2 was my Florida group's project last winter. The original pattern by Nancy Mahoney, was shown in 30's fabrics. I made Sampler 1 to show a quilt made with darker background and scraps, and Sampler 2 was made with a 5 inch charm pack of jewel tones from Keepsake Quilting. I added an additional background border after the zig-zag one in the second sampler. Most of these were finished over the winter, but Just for Fun and Disappearing 4 patch were completed after our return home.

Everything looks wonderful, Susan. You've definitely mastered the "Hooked on Feathers" technique. I find myself using that a lot lately!

As you might expect, I go for the Scrappy Irish Chain. I don't remember ever seeing one before and I just love yours. Did you have to do a lot of swapping around and arranging or did it just sort of happen in place that beautiful? Polly
