OT: back from our cruise!

Yep we are back from our cruise!! Our plane came in late last night and luckily I had requested an extra unpaid day off today to get things unpacked and laundry and general catching up done. I am really tired. Mexico was beautiful!!! The ship was great, and traveling is fun, but wow I am travel weary! Plus I feel like I lost a couple of hours with the time change over the weekend. We had a great time. I need to get my pictures put on a CD so I can upload them for you all to see! The ship -the Carnival Inspiration-was big, but I was told it was one of the smaller ones in the Carnival Fleet. The ocean was rough Friday and we both got nauseous, but got some medicine from our steward, and took a nap and was better later in the afternoon. Sat morning in Mexico we felt fine. The ocean was worse coming back that night, but we were more prepared and were fine. I heard several passengers remark that there were those in their party who were also sick. We asked the crew members and our dinner table guests if this movement was normal. They said no, and that other bigger ships don't rock as much. I was amazed that the crew, waiters, and even the dancers in the shows never stumbled when the ship was rockin! I couldn't get over how the curtains on the stage were really swaying back and forth. The shows were great, the comedians funny, and the cruise director was hilarious, very entertaining. The food was all good, I think I liked the dining room food better than the buffet. I loved the formal dining for dinner. I don't get to do that very often, so it was a real treat. Barb is a lot more casual and liked the buffets better for breakfast and lunches. We got to go on a galley tour, and being in the foodservice trade ourselves, we found it really interesting! We didn't gamble at all. So basically we shopped, ate, watched the stage shows, relaxed, explored the ship, & had only a few drinks. We decided not to take any scrapbook stuff with us, for there is so much to do on the ship and then the shopping and sightseeing in Cozumel, Mexico wouldn't have been much time for scrapping. But oh the pictures we took! I got to meet up with M-C in Tampa when we got back from the cruise. She was so gracious and met us at the ship terminal and took us to the airport. Thanks again M-C!! We stopped for some coffee, and looked at her previous cruises scrapbooks and pics of her new house being built. So pretty, as always!!! Then she took us to one of her LSS for some shopping. It was a really nice store! Very spacious and lots of goodies, and yes some of them made it into my shopping basket! Thanks for the enabling M-C!! haha! We also went to Michaels to see what they had. It was so nice to see her again! I will write more about the cruise when I get the pictures back. I had to get this on real quick so you all wouldn't think I got lost in Mexico! Back to work tomorrow for the rest of the week. :-( Linda
