Yeah, I'm back! Back at work too, unfortunately. Thanks for thinking of me Kenda. This is the first vacation that I've had that I really didn't want to go back from.
It was great! I went to Nassau and then to Castaway Cay (pronounced key), it's Disney's own private island. I've always wanted to see the clear ocean water. I was in the water nearly 5 hours non stop. I got out long enough to have lunch. It's unbelievable. Just like being in a pool it's so clear. I took a picture of my feet in the water, hope it turns out.
I have 6 rolls of film to develope. Haven't dropped them off yet.
The ship was beautiful and the service was great. It seemed like everytime we went out the host (room man?) came in and straightened up. I didn't realize until I got home that he had thrown out something I wanted to keep. I got a can of 7up at the Ardastra Gardens in Nassau. It had a different logo than I had seen before and on the label it said Bahamas. Being a 7up collector I really wanted that can. I had such a good time though that I'm not bumming over something like that.
Everywhere you looked they were taking pics on the ship. It's a Disney cruise, there were characters all over. I have a friend that has a scanner now so I'll see if we can figure out how to post some pics. Of course there were kids everywhere too, but the boat had an adults only pool and adults only areas on the ship for a person to find some peace and quiet. The island even had an adults only beach. It was so far from the others you had to take a tram to it. So peaceful and quiet.
We had perfect weather too. In Orlando somebody told me they had had like 8 (?) days of rain before we got there. On the ship the captain said the last cruise had rain everyday. We had sun everyday! I would do it again in a heartbeat. I know it sounds so expensive but I highly reccomend taking a cruise at least once in your lifetime.
