Yeah, I'm back! Back at work too, unfortunately. Thanks for thinking of me Kenda. This is the first vacation that I've had that I really didn't want to go back from.

It was great! I went to Nassau and then to Castaway Cay (pronounced key), it's Disney's own private island. I've always wanted to see the clear ocean water. I was in the water nearly 5 hours non stop. I got out long enough to have lunch. It's unbelievable. Just like being in a pool it's so clear. I took a picture of my feet in the water, hope it turns out.

I have 6 rolls of film to develope. Haven't dropped them off yet.

The ship was beautiful and the service was great. It seemed like everytime we went out the host (room man?) came in and straightened up. I didn't realize until I got home that he had thrown out something I wanted to keep. I got a can of 7up at the Ardastra Gardens in Nassau. It had a different logo than I had seen before and on the label it said Bahamas. Being a 7up collector I really wanted that can. I had such a good time though that I'm not bumming over something like that.

Everywhere you looked they were taking pics on the ship. It's a Disney cruise, there were characters all over. I have a friend that has a scanner now so I'll see if we can figure out how to post some pics. Of course there were kids everywhere too, but the boat had an adults only pool and adults only areas on the ship for a person to find some peace and quiet. The island even had an adults only beach. It was so far from the others you had to take a tram to it. So peaceful and quiet.

We had perfect weather too. In Orlando somebody told me they had had like 8 (?) days of rain before we got there. On the ship the captain said the last cruise had rain everyday. We had sun everyday! I would do it again in a heartbeat. I know it sounds so expensive but I highly reccomend taking a cruise at least once in your lifetime.

Sounds llike you had a truely wonderful trip! I would love to see your pictures. I hope you pic of your feet in the water turns out, that would be really cool!

I don't think the cost is too bad, considering it's essentally all inclusive. I'm sorry your "cabin boy" threw out your can. Did he make little animals out of your towels? I had a cabin to myself and I kept the ones they made on the extra bed. They even made me extras to keep the others company! LOL I had quite a collection!

I can't wait to see the LO's you make with your pictures. I'd say with 6 rolls of film you'll have enough for a vacation album. Glad to have you home safe and sound.

I must read too much alt.gossip.celebrities. Everytime I see this subject line I keep thinking it's about Tom Cruise, lol.

Sounds like you had a great time Katrina. I can't wait to see what you do with all the pictures you took, especially the one with your feet in the ocean. Sounds like you're going to have a whole album just for cruise layouts! LOL Glad to have you back with us, too!

I agree with you Katrina. We have decided that cruises are the best way to vacation. You get to see lots of things and only have to unpack once! The food and the service is great too.

Did you get a chance to see the Atlantis resort while you were in Nassau? It is pretty amazing.

Kenda, I did get towel animals. I took pics of each of them w/ the exception of the first night, my mom used it's head before I thought to take the pic. What I didn't do, because I didn't think of it in time, was to take a pic of Arturo, the "artist". They even gave a class on how to make them once you get home. I didn't participate but I watched for a few minutes and got the sheet w/ directions. Like I'll ever use it! LOL

Cathy, no I didn't get over to it. When our ship pulled in there was a Carnival ship already there. It left during the day but it wasn't until dark that I realized w/ it gone I would have a perfect view to at least get a pic. Alas, not a single shot of it. We had planned to go but my mom found out that you had to pay to get into the casino so she changed her mind. As for me, it didn't matter one way or the other.

We didn't have to pay. Just walked right in. They have some amazing glass sculptures in the casino. The only thing that we found you had to pay for was the tour through the aquarium. Oh well, something for next time!

Sounds like the class would have been great! I wouldn't be able to make the animals just by going by the directions. I have to have "visual" to remember how! LOL Glad you got pics!
