Hi All,
had a fantastic time away in Co Durham visiting my long term friend SJ those of you who remember her know who I mean, and I know she sent some of you some pics of us together. LOL
what a fantastic part of the UK she lives in. Wonderful countryside but a wonderful person too. We were made very welcome, and it was lovely to meet someone I've been a cyber friend of so many years....gosh how time flies...lol. She is as fantastic as she sounds bless her.
I did have some sad news whilst I was gone though, my old cat Tigger suffered a massive stroke and had to be put to sleep in the early hours of the 14th, he wasn't anything special to look at, just an old tabby stray that had adopted us 13/14years ago. But I absolutely sobbed, especially as I was miles away from him. My neighbour was brilliant though and stayed with him stroking him to the end, and he loved her and her son, who had to run out as he was so upset about it. So I feel relieved that he was being cuddled and talked to by someone he knew and who loved him too. It's always so sad when this happens and it sort of put a damper on the rest of the holiday for me. But this is part of life but when I came home I found the house really empty without him with us, but know that he is waiting with his sister, Osca, now at Rainbow Bridge.
Other than that we had a great time lovely castles and olde worlde cobbled streets but I'm always glad to be home.
Off to my weaving group this morning, so just thought I'd call in and say I'm back
Welcome to all newcomers happy birthdays anniversaries or condolences to anyone I've missed whilst away.
