Sad news from Marny

I recently had an email from Marny, 'Gentle as you go', and she asked me to share it with you.

It's hard to do my own personal emails on this office computer ... I would be VERY grateful if you could share with the RCTN and RCTQ that my son and his wife were expecting in mid-December and she experienced contractions and then her water broke on the 24th of August, the day of the baby shower!!!

AnnMarie was rushed to the hospital where a C-Section brought forth dear little Griffin Dalton, 1-1/4 lbs. and

11-11-1/2 inches long.

Michael and AnnMarie were able to spend some alone time with their first child ... and as they kissed him and he held their fingers, Griffin Dalton left. He came to say Hello to his loving parents and then had to leave.

Griffin's middle name was to honor Dale and Tony ... my son's stepfather and my DDIL's father, respectively.

Thank you ... thank you for caring, Mavia. Perhaps anyone who would like to write will do so to my email ... I can't get back to the groups right now. Thank you!

Thanks for letting us know. Please tell her I'll be praying for all her family that they'll have strength to get through this sad time, and that in good time they'll have another healthy baby to bring them joy.

What a sad little scene, and yet precious too. Please tell Marny that her little grandson is now a happy angel, romping and playing and having great joy. I know they will miss him dearly, but he is safe now.

My heart is breaking for you right now. I know what it is like to have a child arrive early. Thankfully mine stayed around but little Griffin had other plans. Take care all of you and know that Griffin is always in our hearts.

Oh, Marny, I'm so sorry. I used to be on Quilting 101 list with you, and I've thought of you and your family often. My heart breaks for your loss.

Sending cyber hugs...
