First, thank you for sharing and have fun with your new toys!

You mentioned in your last post that you found these templates easier to do than the Coluzzles- something about the knife.

I have seen the EZ2cut templates at our convention, and have even talked to the demonstrators about my difficulties with Coluzzle and EZ2Cut templates (Particularly the curvy alphabets) and no one ever mentioned that I should be using their knife. I will have to look into this.

Thanks again Bonny, Wisconsin

I have seveal EZ2Cut templates and I love them. I have a dot alphabet withthe backers and now a tag template. I'm thinking about a couple of others as well. Enjoy! S

These are interchangable with coluzzle so I have both coluzzle and these.

There is a swivel knife and cutting mat that goes with them. I don't think one of these brands Coluzzle and EZ2Cut is easier than the other. They are pretty interchangable. But you definitely need the swivel knife and the bubble mat for them to work correctly. The swivel knife from these brands has a special guard that keeps it from ruining the templates.

I bought the 2 mosaic templates also at Memories Expo. They were demonstrating all of them and they were using those same pictures. I love them!

The President of the EZ2cut Templates taught the class. Very nice man. And he had a whole explanation about how the blade is shaped and such. Made sense to me, but I don't remember enough about it to describe exactly why. I'll have to check out his web site and see if he explains it there. I do remember he said to look for the black colored plastic around the base of his blades. The others are white and that's why he changed the color.

The guy said that there was something different about his swivel knife blade. I'll find out why. I have the Colluzzle swivel knife and I was making hearts for Valentines day. Pretty big hearts too and I had the roughest time getting it to work and it was cutting into and snagging the template. It was so frustrating. The templates I was using in class were more detailed and tighter designs and his swivel knife definitely didn't catch as much.

The coluzzle alphabet made me throw it away it was so frustrating. I was hesitant to get the EZ2cut template even though the others were so much easier for me. Is your alphabet working about well?

These EZ2cut templates are a harder plastic than my coluzzles and for me and my technique of cutting I found the blade didn't get caught as often or chew up the template like with my coluzzles. The harder plastic and special blade really worked for me. Lynne

When I spoke with them they told me that their replacement blades fit the coluzzle knife so I just bought the blades. S

The original coluzzles I had frustrated me but I haven't had a problem with the cursive alphabet. I'd say its just as easy as ez2cut.

Thanks, everyone, for your input on Coluzzle and EZ2Cut. I was just about to order the EZ2 Cut knife, but now think I will order just the blades. This whole thread makes me want to do more with the many templates I have collected. I have many alphabets, shadow shapes, and even a kaleidoscope thingy- time to get busy, and, if nothing else, practice!

Yes, I was glad to hear the blades fit the Coluzzle handle so I bought replacement blades too. Nice of them to make it so easy for us.
