Our Adventure :) ..... (long)

Just had to share, we had such an exciting adventure today. It all started with a "Journal Jiffy" I won on an Ebay Auction the other day, turns out the seller lived not too far from us, so we set aside today to drive down and pick it up. I had a look on the internet and got the address of a SS nearby too and so our day was all mapped out for us ;)

We picked up the journal jiffy stencil and headed off to Scrapbook Superstore!!! OMG, were we in for a treat!!! We could barely contain our excitement once we were inside the store. Our faces must have lit up like xmas trees!! (Let's just say here that this was our FIRST experience in a specialty store for SCRAPPING!! Sure we've been to plenty of places that have a "scrapbook section", but this was the WHOLE STORE!!) I looked at Emily and said, "Wow.... I could just live here!!" She quickly jumped back saying "Me too!!" It was fantastic!!

We spent over an hour in there, just looking at everything .... oh and adding a few things to our basket along the way of course ;) What an experience, we can't wait to go back again. After we left the SS we were heading home a different way and we passed Spotlight (not sure if it is in the States or not), but it is a huge store with lots of different crafty items etc. So, being the dedicated crafters that we are, we just HAD to stop in there too and have a quick "browse" around. Again, nearly an hour later we left that store to head home.

A quick tally in the car and we worked out that together we spent about $130. $130 in ONE DAY - I guess this means we are now "fully addicted". We called in at the local liqour store and picked up some Wild Turkey and Cougar for DH's, just to make it "fair".... (not that they mind us spending money, they actually thought it was good for us that we had such a nice day :) we are so lucky to have our boys!!

We thought you would enjoy hearing about our day.... for now though, there's plenty of scrapping to be done - gotta try out all our new things :)

Much love, Emily & Celie...xxx.

Glad you had a great time!! I hope you're not like me and just keep collecting the stuff, I really hope you get around to using all your new treasures ;-)

Celie! What a super day that was! Scrapbook stores are the ultimate treat for us true addicts! LOL I marvel that you all showed such restraint ! I never leave a SS for under $100.00 ! LOL Isn't it amazing how many things one "needs" !! Sounds as if you and Emily had a fantastic day! Thanks for sharing your adventure!

Hi Celie!

Sounds like you guys had a great time!:>)

Where are you located?

Sounds like you two had a great time! Thanks for sharing it with us. It's so much fun to go shopping with other scrappers, isn't it?

Have fun, Debbie - who's looking forward to enabling her sister into scrapping

Sounds like you 2 had a great time~!

What a great adventure. I'd love to have a few days like that.

sounds like you girls had a lot of fun :) My kind of shopping trip!

Isn't it fun to explore a new scrapbook store! Glad you both had a good time.

We used to "collect" things to save them for something, then we figured that they weren't being wasted anyhow that they were being used to create something really nice that was for "keeps" ~ we have already started using things. I bought this little pad of acid/lignin free paper, it has 80 pages and there are 4 pages of each design/colour, it was $12. Perfect size for cut-outs for my PP's! I made 6 of my bears last night!!

Celie :)
