My choir uniform project goes out the door this evening, and all I have to do today is finish off a dew inched of hand stitching and sew on 8 covered buttons! Then one final press, and done!
This is a lovely embroidered taffeta in an elegant teal colour: the top is embroidered fabric and the skirt is the matching plain fabric. For some odd reason, the customer was told it isn't washable (it's poly, but because of the embroidery, I can believe that) *or* dry-cleanable! I'm
*sure* that cannot be right, so I am going to take some edged samples into my tame dry-cleaners and get them to test it!After the mad gold ball dress, and with the red bridesmaids to come, the lack of pressure on this quick project is so nice! :) Now I just have to swap a zip on a wedding dress ready for bra buying at the weekend, and I can get started on the bridesmaid patterns and get them ready for fittings after the 24th. Can't fit the kids for bridesmaids in the middle of their end of school exams - way too cruel to distract them like that!
