Seriously, in what part of the world would the offer of used elastic straps worn against bare skin be considered such a boon that the lack of interest would merit comment?

hmm, costumers would welcome them, after all, costumes get worn by multiple people over the course of their lifetime. Were I making lingerie, I would have taken them, even if it was for the initial attempts and nothing else.

I agree, that your comment was better left unsaid. The offer was made from someone who actually knows that there are members of this group that, if they were working on a project that needed them, would have snapped them up in a heartbeat

And, in case you didn't notice, I said *nothing* about the initial posting in which the items were offered. My post was directed at the petulant follow-up posted by the OP when she failed to be deluged with requests for her used lingerie components.
