Exactly!! The previous owner of my Janome Compulock had only used it for about 1.5 hours in total, then decided it was 'too much overlocker for her' so sold it for half new price. I was fortunate enough to be looking for one at the time and thought the listed price was a misprint. Similar thing happened with my second embroidery machine (not used at all) and now the coverstitch machine (2 hours use)......so it does happen and for a change I was three times lucky, normally I miss out altogether!! LOL
Buying near-new secondhand items means you save so many $$$'s and have some left over for the next purchase. The 'three' machines I've mentioned above, 'all' totalled the price of a one new overlocker.
