Right. Jealous. Plus trying to keep her head from swelling. I'd hate for her to have to buy all new hats.

I strongly doubt that, I don't think Joanne *cares* if patterns match. ;->

Thanks.

No problem, I'll just make some new ones, being extra careful to match the designs at all seams, of course...

Giggle... I love metaphore abuse, and puns. Used to drive my students crazy when I was teaching English Lit.

That goes without saying. Right after you alphabetize your spices.

You mean you don't alphabetize your spices? LOL Emily

If she didn't, we would all think she'd fallen ill. ;)

Well personally.... I have mine stored in two drawers in the kitchen. All the "baking" spices are in one drawer. The "regular cooking" spices in the other. ;) Labels turned up so I can see what's where.

I used to sort of randomly stuff all my spices in a cabinet near the stove, with savories on one side, sweets on the other. However, when I had new custom cabinets installed a few years back the cabinet-maker created a lovely cabinet with racks on the door one-bottle-deep and half-deep shelves in the cabinet. I now keep all the sweets, sorted alphabetically on the door, and all the savories (also semi-alphabetical) on the shelves. I'm amazed at how much easier it is to locate cinnamon, celery seed, cloves or cumin now. ;-}

No! The ones I use most often are in the front. On those occasions that I need another, I just dig around until I find it. Like I really cook all that often anyway!

In this house, we bought in 2001, it has spice racks built on one door of the pantry, which certainly makes it easier to see which is which. I only wish they had added shelving to keep the foil, saran wrap and waxed paper. Emily

I arrange them topically.

In the door of the freezer compartment of my fridge.
