Excuse me I must have gotten into the wrong group. Thought it was "alt.sewing" and all of a sudden we are into "Indians"and "allergies" and some heated discussions. Well, I'm 1\16 th Cherokee and allergic to shrimp, so now I'll meander on and look for "alt.sewing". Hillbilly Dot in Tennessee (and I never met a cow I didn't like.)
One of the great reasons to enjoy USENET is the wide open topics. If control is wanted go to Yahoo. This group is actually quite tame and does not go OT as some. I think that it would be very dry and boring and there would be few posts if it was totally just sewing. Those lack luster groups can be found in abundance on Yahoo Groups.

I like this forum it moves and you can learn something everyday if you take the time to listen. Broaden your horizons join USENET> Don't count on the 1/16th Cherokee for anything, at last count there were 130 million of you and those are just the public records......Oh and cows are good, broiled, baked, Grilled and so are moose, deer, sheep, goats, beaver etc.
From a Full Blood Cree, a rare breed indeed who must get back to her moccasins, Powwows start in May and I only have 20 pairs done......gggg.
Well.....then there's me. Married to a wondeful man of Scottish Cherokee mix, and mother of 2 little ones who are Scottish-Cherokee-Irish. So.....Native American beading, beading in general, discusisons on Native Americans, making cloth diapers, diaper rash solutions, etc. are ALL of interest to me.
We are normally a friendly group, and sometimes, as in regular face-to-face conmversations, the topics wander. That's life, and we are all human.
Sheesh!!
Now...to satisfy those who only want ON topic discussion...I have all but finished the wedding sewing. I have to do the hooks and eyes on all
3 dresses, check the hems on all of them to make sure I did them correctly, and check how the neck fits on all of the girls (halter style dresses) before I put the snaps on them. In the meantime, I managed to get an emergency quilt finished and ready to deliver. Next up......more sweatpants for my darling son, then some cute little outfits for my sweet angel girl.
