Hope it gets better really soon - is it an allergy or infection? Take good care of it. Hugs are on their way from sunny Australia.

thanks KAte....,.got some icky ointment that stings like blazes, but the swelling has gone down considerably. Also, as Sharon suggested, I have been doing warm compresses....but of a really yummy kind....

When I first had a sty, I used a chamomile tea bag (removed after steeping in a mug - drank the tea to relax!) and placed that over my eye. This time around, I am using English breakfast tea, and it seems to be working even faster than the chamomile!!

Hay, if it works... :)

some sort of infection, possibly caused by staph, most likely transmitted by one of the sick kiddies who have a habit of sneezing in my face .

Ointment is working, though...swelling is going down and itching is decreasing, though not as fast as the swelling.

My commiserations. I hate itching - maybe some antihistamines might help that. Just don't scratch - that will undo all the healing that's happening. Hope it continues to heal fast.
