Question- order of sewing

So I'm playing with my serger tonite and things are going well - I've got a nice 4-2 overlock going and the end isn't pulling out ( bigger seam allowance allowed me to guide better towards knife side) but after first edge overlocked, wondering if i didn't make a construction or order mistake-

I'm adding false under sleeves to a tshirt. I've got the sleeve cut out. The order I plan to do things is:

1) overlock both top and bottom so it doesn't unravel 2) hem bottom on sewing machine, double straight stitch to mimic coverstitch 3) overlock side seam of sleeve into tube 4) attach to shirt using some decorative stitch on sewing machine

But I realized that if I do it in this order, I'm chopping off where the top and bottom overlocks are tied off when i overlock the side seam - those tie offs are in the seam allowance.

Did I choose the wrong order? Or doesn't it matter if I chop off the securing end of the overlock?

thanks in advance for all your help!!

No, it doesn't matter: you are going over it with the other line of stitching. That will secure it.
