Sparkle aka Glitter

Does anyone else out there like to use glitter in their cards? Even though it gets everywhere, the cats, dog, husband and of course all over my face (!) I love to use glitter to "paint" my cards. Anyone else feel that way?

I don't use it that often, but on occassion I do use glitter. I especially love the art institute glitter. See

Has anyone tried the other sparkly stuff like shaved ice, tinsel, or the decorative glues like Ice Stickles?Jeannette

I have some glitters. Don't recall the brand. I saw them demonstrated at a stamp convention last year, and had to buy some. The woman doing the demonstration was smart and wore a dressy black shirt that had glittery stuff on it already, so the glitter from the cards only added to her shirt! Anyhow, it was used to create stained-glass-like images. I have a dragonfly which I stamp on acetate (transparencies) with Staz-On black ink. A glue with a fine tip to color in the areas, then sprinkle with glitter. Tap off the access, next color. Let dry (glue dries clear). Cut out, and glue so that the glitter side is against the card, smooth side out, looks like stained glass! Have done this but straight on the card, not on acetate, as well.

I have also used the glitter glues, Ice Stickles and others. Just the "white" ones. I colored in a snowman on my Christmas cards. If you go to

and look at the Christmas cards, the snowman's body/head are with Ice Stickles. Do keep a straight pin nearby when using them, though. Once in a great while the glitter will clog up the applicator tip. Just putting a pin in the tip and back out cleans it out like new.Barbara
