picked up my knitting needles again

I have just picked up my knitting needles again but not to knit with yarn. I am knitting with silver wire and beads some of which are Swarovski crystals. I am making a bracelet cuff. I have no pattern but I saw someone wearing one the other day so decided to try it out. Will get it finished today. Shirley

Thanks Between 8 and 10 hours I would say. Took quite a while to thread the beads on the wire first. Unlike yarn there is no give in the wire and knitting is not easy also a bit rough on the fingers. Got a black finger from the wire. It looks much better on than off and really sparkles in sunlight and electric light. Shirley

Thank you. The garden is not so beautiful now in the winter mode. The leaves of the Boston Ivy have fallen and most things have died down. However the crocus, hyacinths, and alliums are showing their green tips above the soil in the planters. Still got two roses out and plenty of borage flowers. Shirley

I absolutely loved your garden pictures!

I noticed you have some fritillaria - don't you find them to be kind of "stinky"? I remember walking around in a garden store near some fritillaria bulbs and the smell almost made me sick. I love how they market them as - "keeping deer and rodents away". (grin).

How lovely to have roses still blooming....... here it went down to -27°C last night, and I considered myself very fortunate that the car started this morning.

The wire is very fine and bendy, it kinks easily. Just do not wrap it tightly around the finger. Sort of having to keep picking it up and letting go. Shirley
