Cake Boxes in NYC????????????

Jul 25, 2003 4 Replies

Does anyone know of a cheap bulk source for cake boxes in NYC? Paragon Restaurant World was the only place that sold paper products on the Bowery (so they tell me, but I can't seem to find info otherwise) and now they are discontinuing their more odd-sized boxes. NY Cake and Rake-You on 22nd Street, Bridge Kitchenware and Broadway Panhandler are too expensive. I'm a small business owner and am looking for wholesale prices- specifically boxes that easily contain cupcakes, i.e. 12 x 12 x 4 or half sheet sized.

Thanks very much!

Good luck with that! I went through this in Tulsa, Okla. I ended up getting the number of the supplier that the local grocery store used. I had to buy bulk and didn't WANT bulk. Try that if all else fails. It wasn't expensive.

I buy my boxes from Supreme Paper, here in Florida. (Along with all my other paper supplies.)

12x12x4 is very common. They come in packs of 100 (flat, wrapped in plastic) and cost (I think) about 19 cents each.

Look up and call a few paper companies.

This is a long shot, but might help. I live in PA, and I found a few party supply stores here that sell cake boxes in a variety of sizes and they are inexpensive. One is called "Party n More". Not sure if it is a big or small local franchise. Anyway, they carry stuff that you wouldn't think they would - cake boards and paper supplies that you would think you could find only in a restaurant supply store. Try calling around. C
