Lori,

I received the etched lentil today and I have to say the photo does NOT do it justice! And it's HUGE, which I love because I'm a kind of Big Bead Girl.

Don't ever stop creating your gorgeous works of art!

Thanks Linda!

I'm never quite sure about etched things because I just don't do it often enough. Doesn't that size and shape feel so good in your hand???

Eek! Who has my wallet? Give that back!

Ugh? Oh man, I love, love going to the back-cracker. Can I take your place?

You can take my place any time! This is my first experience with a chiropractor and I think I'm gonna stick to deep tissue massage. It hurts when you're getting it but I think I was 2 inches taller afterwards. I had really been hunching over and tightening up because of shoulder blade pain. The chiro is starting to seem like something I do to in order to get the massage paid for by insurance. :o)

Thanks Kandice. Check Tourmaline over white. Put it over EDP and it's a yummy purple. You just have to be careful because it nicks easy if it touches anything at any time in the kiln.

I got a similar color by layering Bullseye, once, and now I have NO idea what colors I used. I think it might have been the transparent purple over pink... it has the black spots, too, but they're encased and the beads are round.

I hear you, it's not fair. I hope the chiropractor helped somewhat. So how was it?

Funny you should ask. I really don't think it was something that the chiropractor could help. I think the massage was keeping it at bay and giving me some good days.

BUT! Friday we got a new bed. We knew our other one was very uncomfortable and lumpy, even though it was under 2 years old. (I can't believe I slept in that thing through my whole pregnancy...no wonder I felt like crap).

Anyway...it's a pretty pricey Spring Air with 3 inches of that memory foam stuff that makes up those tempur-pedic beds. My husband and I both feel like new people since sleeping in this new bed. After the first night, my back/shoulder blade did NOT hurt in the morning. We both feel like we have more energy and seem to have happier dispositions....I'm serious. It's the weirdest thing...or maybe it's not.

Our bodies must have been tensing against the other mattress during the night and not allowing us to get good nights sleep. I know I woke up clenched on many occasions...but thought I was just worn out and stressed with two little kids.

I think I moan a little every night I climb in and am reminded of just how comfortable it is!

Ooooh, cool! I am so envious... someday I want a really nice bed. The one we have now is not bad, but I think it's too firm, and it was never top-of-the-line.

When you do it, you'll wonder why you didn't do it a long time ago...especially if you tend to have crazy kids that tend to want to climb in bed with you at some point. That just makes it even harder to get comfortable, but I'll take that discomfort. :o)

If I knew then what I know now, I would have saved for it....and we don't do that too often...this one went on the card!

When my dad was bed bound, he had a horrible time getting to a sitting position because the bed was too soft. It influenced me to buy a fairly hard Sealy posturepedic double bed. Later I got a softer topped one. The hard one is still good though and is plenty soft with an "egg crate" on it. Keep in mind that your box spring needs to be in good shape too. Always buy both, since the new box spring will double the life of your mattress.

You can buy memory foam pads on Overstock.com to throw onto your mattress, too. If you have a halfway decent mattress, it can be pretty groovy and less expensive (it sounds like you really needed a new mattress, though, Lori). I think I'm going to get one (a mattress pad).

And it's not unusual to have good sleep make you feel tons better. They found if they made people in sleep-deprivation experiments miss 4 days of sleep, they developed fibromyalgia symptoms. SO GET YOUR SLEEP, and MAKE IT GOOD! Or you could end up very sick indeed. (Fibro is seen as being a probable stage-D-sleep-deprivation thing -- among other causes.)

Although the new finding is that hard mattresses being better for your back is a fallacy -- and a softer mattress (albeit not SOFT soft) is far better for you.

We have one of those "numbers" beds, where you pick how hard/soft you want your side to be. DH likes his hard enough to bounce a quarter off of, I like mine soft enough that it cradles me a bit...ahhhh....sleepin'...I love sleepin'!!!

I slept on one of those pillowtop beds once. (They come with this pillowy, but not soft and deep-squishy, layer attached to the top mattress.) WOW! Love those, love them! They're very expensive, though. I want one. (I love sleepin' TOO)
