AD: beads for Alexander

My truly wonderful cousin Alexander spends his time equally between Ontario, Canada and Haida Gwaii, amazing and culturally rich islands in northern British Columbia. He is a brilliant and spirit-moved photographer, film-maker and writer, and a truly gentle and thoughtful man. He has lived in a small cabin perched on stilts at the water's edge for the last 10+ years. On December 24, a huge storn hit the shore, moved a 60 foot long log up and under his cabin, and knocked the supports out from under it. His cabin was carried out to sea. He lost everything other than his computer and cameras, a few clothes and 2 kitchen chairs.

I am so impressed, although not surprised, to see how he is responding to this. He is planning to build a new place, and I'm sure he will fashion something wonderful. I will be making and selling a set of beads for Alexander each week for the next few months as my contribution to building his new place. The first set is Big Waves, Blue Sky, and has just been listed at JustBeads. I hope you will have a look.

Thanks!

He's a very special person, and I'm happy to do this. Just wish I could do more.
