Frost on the grapes, heat on the grass... the last of warm summer days. That is a lovely set, as usual. You keep surprising me with the colors you can make play happily together. Diana

I just love your swirled beads! I don't want you to think this is anything but a compliment, but I would LOVE to see a set of your beads with just all the sorts of swirls you do. I would sell Mike for a set of those! Really gorgeous work on all the beads but those swirls...

KLUNK!!! Ouch.

Well, I'd sell Mike's car.... I have to keep Mike, he pays the bills!

These are gorgeous. I wish I could get them!

Just curious. How much time is involed in making this set? Is this a days work or several days? How many hours? Not included kiln time. I really have no idea that is why I am asking.

This is exactly how I feel. The swirls -- and all the variations of the swirls

-- are a really strong part of your work, Kandice. I'd love to see what you'd do if you just did all sorts of swirl variations. I'd probably die when I looked at them, and we could throw an RCB wake.

BTW.....your beads are SUCH A BARGAIN! 23 beads? For how much per bead? Sheesh---KLUNK. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

:) The set took me about four hours total, before kiln time. I work pretty slowly compared to other artists, because I really take extra time on the flower petals. I'm really picky about those. :D

(((((hugs))))) You know, I think I will do a set of all swirls at some point. I love the way the swirls look using purple and black or pink and black. Anything on black. LOL They stand out so well. Any suggestions?

I'd love to see Kandice pairs, too. Maybe an auction with 5 sets of pairs ---? ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

It definitely Shows! I mean that in great way. They all look so exact and perfect. Your designs also seem soft and very feminine. Girly.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with us! I am very facinated with lampwork and would some day love to try my hand at making something. I have my own ideas floating around and would love to see what I could come up with. But I will have to wait little while.

I have had the oppurtunity to watch someone making beads in their studio. It is so awesome to watch this non descript piece of glass glow and be molded into something spectacular. Two of my favorite loves come together. Fire and beads! That is why I think I would like lampworking.

I used to burn things or play with candles all the time when I was little. Nearly burned down the house once with an experimental candle. OOooops. Never try to make a wick on the outside of a candle,(pour wax into a toilet paper tube) and set it on fire. BAD VERY BAD!

ROFL - well, not for a few days. Untill this dizziness/nausea goes away, there will be no torching for Kandice. Tell the meds to hurry up! :D

hee hee! Actually, I make very few earrings. So it's not simply self-interest. ;-D ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce
