Wow - thank you everyone! Answering the whole thread instead of everyone individually, to save bandwidth. I really appreciate all the kind words. :)

ARGH!

I believe my exact words upon seeing the set were, "Just kill me now and be do with it!"

My (s-t-b-e) husband said from the livingroom: "You must have looked at a Kandace bead again. Why do you torture yourself? You know you can't afford them."

just one more example of why it is S-T-B-E.

Kandace, that set makes me want to buy a long velvet black gown, decorate the house to the nines and go carolling. For anyone who knows how much I HATE the entire Christmas Season (now please don't ask why, no one quite knows the reason), that is one POWERFUL set of beads.

Also, I totally agree on the whole 'red' thing. (green too, but no one has mentioned that). Christmas should be that deep, rich, true red and rich piney green.

I know I'm coming in late on this, but WOW!!!!! Those are awesome! I was thinking about doing a Christmas set, but now I'm going to wait a while until the memory of these stunners fades so I won't be depressed at my results, LOL!

What red did you use Kandice? It's so fabulous! I'm with Sooz, I want a whole bracelet of just etched red beads... yummm, velvety!

Thanks! :) I used Effetre purple-red.

*taps foot and thinks* Hmmm, do I even own a rod of purple red? I'll have to go dig through my starter set from years ago and see! Thanks :)

oh man that was confusing. I saw Candace as the poster, and it didn't register that my ~~ were missing--I was having a moment of wondering when I got multiple personality syndrome.

:) You should have one in the starter kit - it's a regular color in Effetre's palette. It looks almost like the Dark Red. I often mistake the two in rod form, but when heated, the Dark Red is slightly more orange than the Purple-Red. The numbers are 438 for Purple-Red and 436 for Dark Red. Consequently, the Medium Red is 432, and that's way too light for my taste. It looks similar to the other two in rod form as well. Hope this helps!

Now, which Candace are YOU? Are you a whole 'NOTHER Candace, or are you Candygrrl on an alternate account?

I'm so confused... LOL!

If you don't have any purple red, I can send you a rod or two... I have tons.

It wasn't me. I wouldn't know how to tell if I have that particular rod in the bundles that were sent to me.
