Amazing Sight!

Yesterday afternoon, my package from South Pacific arrived, and with it the "100 Strands of Pearls for $100" deal. It was such a startling sight to see all those pearls together at once, I had to take a photo to share.

P.S.: Tomorrow, I'll divide the beads so everyone gets a few of each style, bag them up and send emails with your total cost. If you can then write back with your mailing address, everything can go out when the post office opens on Tuesday. (non-US: Monday is a holiday here in the US - Labor Day)

We get them 4 times a year in Houston. It takes a little getting used to -- the first time I went, I came home practically in shock from "gem overload"! These days, I can cover the room in about 3 hours, mostly because I just walk past all the vendors selling cheap Taiwanese pendants and stuff.

I ended up doing that, even at my very first gem show. It isn't hard to spot the quality stuff once you've seen even a little of it.

Yes, yes! And if you can get Jeanne or someone to do likewise, even better. "Walking advertising" is *always* good -- I must have handed out 20 cards at Worldcon the day I was wearing the "Move along" shirt. Also, don't hesitate to schmooze with the vendors. IME they love to chat with people who appreciate their expertise.
