OK... I need a torch, some green glass, a kiln, and a bunch of other stuff that if I had it wouldn't know how to use it, but I could buy a book, take some classes, and then I could make me some of these. :) They are very pretty indeed!

that's quite an understatement - LOL! definitely yes about the book and the classes. and the classes would probably be good for teaching you how much you don't know [like me] about glass. the amount of knowledge about glass that the lampworkers here carry around in their heads always amazes me. went "glass shopping" with Nicole a few days ago. i'm VERY impressed!
"this won't work with that"; "that one changes colors to . . . "; "that one burns easily"; etc, etc.

A shame that they didn't sell. Very pretty!
Those are gorgeous... and the pic of what her customer did with a similar set is outstanding! Very inspiring.

]Well, yes and no... you can mix Effetre and Vetrofond with impunity, as ]long as you are careful mixing alabastro/opalino colors with ]pastels/transparents, and you can mix Lauscha with Effetre and ]Vetrofond, as long as you put your bead in the kiln still glowing hot. ]SOME but not all of the Czech glass is more or less compatible with ]Effetre, Vetrofond, and Lauscha. You can mix Gaffer, Reichenbach, and Kugler ]sparingly with almost anything except Satake. You can't mix Satake with ]anything. aaarrrrggggghhhhhhh! i am SO glad i don't have to remember all this -- just buy the finished product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tee hee!

If it works, continue to do it?

They're wonderful, Tina. I gather they didn't sell - I'm surprised. Marisa (AU/NZ)
