I am about to enter the abyss.... I call my sewing room! Nice space... nice windows..... TOO MUCH STUFF... scattered here and there! (Maybe I should grab a shovel!)

I have a project I need to get started (and finished!!) right away - -but have no room to work! So I plan to take today to get my sewing room clean and organized... and then tomorrow morning.... my 9 patches project will be underway!

If you don't see any posts from me by tomorrow morning.... please send a searching party!

PS -- Anyone close enough to come help -- I have lots of chocolate... and will even share select corners of my stash!

You and me both, Kate. I've been spreading stuff into the guest room with idea of sorting, then returning it neatly to the sewing room. I got side tracked with some projects and "real" life. Now I realize I will NEED the guest room for a guest next week. That is incentive to get the job done. As it turns out, we'll be having a workman in another part of the house for part of Wed, Thur, and Fri. Since I'll be house bound, I have no more excuses to post pone this organization. Is anyone else out there doing a tidy up in their sewing place?

I have been organizing in fits and starts for a while. My sewing room is still not ready for viewing. The good and bad news is that I will have some time next week because I have a vacation scheduled. The bad part is that we had planned to go to VA and attend MAQF but we canceled our reservation. At the time we thought that our precious QI Molly might still be with us and need attention. She didn't have the strength to make it this long, though. So, I have time on my hands and hope to put it to good use.

Cautiously raising my hand....... I have to get a lot of stuff organized/sorted and cleared out. And I keep putting it off. Maybe I need some gentle "reminding" to spend some time everyday doing this?

Years ago, when the Earth was young, I brought a dump truck and backhoe home from work to put in a drain field on two sides of my house. The boys were outside as I was unchaining the backhoe on the trailer. The neighbor from across the street walked over to see what I had planned. He asked, "So what's going on?" Before I could even open my mouth my son turns to him and says with a dead pan face....."She's going to clean up her sewing room." .....nuff said.

I'd love to help, but I'm a little too far away! I spent yesterday watching the snow and ice outside while cleaning the sewing room. I even moved a chest of drawers and vacuumed everything....baseboards, blinds, inside of the sewing machine. Then I plugged my torchiere lamp in only to find out I had broken a wire in it while moving it around!! DH managed to fix it, so I'm back in business!

So very sorry, Rita, about your beloved Molly. It is so hard to lose a devoted QI. Sending hugs, Polly

So sorry about your beloved pet. It's so hard to lose a member of the family. Barbara in FL

Rita, sending you and the family gentle {{{{{hugs}}}}} on the loss of your QI

Immerse yourself in the organizing of the sewing room. It will help.
