Beading Lessons Continued

Thursday night I taught my friend a basic netting stitch. She came over tonight with a finished bracelet and matching necklace (minus the clasps). We started herringbone, which she didn't like and switched to circular peyote. She'll probably come over tomorrow night with a finished peyote rope necklace. She caught on very quickly, and enjoys beading. So much that when she told a mutual friend who was in Georgia on vacation, the friend brought her back a present: a complete beading kit with tools, findings and beads. This coming weekend she is accompanying me to a Down the Street bead show to see lampwork firsthand and learn about semi-precious and Bali, etc.

This is SO much fun!

There should be some sort of prize, like the Mary Kay Pink Caddie, for most people recruited to the Beading Way Of Life in a year:p
